Collecting Ski Patches

Most people who personally enjoy patch collecting were first introduced to it through a youth organization. Youth groups that use patches include the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Campfire Boys and Girls, and many others.

Ski patch collecting is popular with those who frequent ski resorts, but usually the collection is kept on a jacket, and when the jacket wears out, the patches usually are, too. Older patches are rare for this reason.

Particularly valuable today are patches from ski resorts that no longer exist, or that have changed their names--the older the more valuable.

The collection offered here includes patches from four premier ski resorts in the Western United States. They include: Alta, Utah [1]; Aspen, Colorado [1]; Sun Valley, Idaho [5]; and Jackson Hole, Wyoming [3]. The oldest patches date from the 1940s, and are the four patches with black backgrounds.

The patches in this private collection are not available for sale one at a time. This offering is made of the full collection only.
